MANAGEMENT of CARE PROPOSED

Our team of professionals is qualified and experienced.

You will be offered a psychological assessment.

During an initial consultation with Dr Khalfallah, a dismemberment of the pains will identify those which are specific to the nervous structures (eg: pudendal nerve) and the reactive pains related to the muscles. Nearby organs such as the bladder or rectum may also have impaired function in response to pain.

A muscle assessment allows us to take stock of their involvement in pain.

In addition to this, you need to know more about it.

At the end of this consultation:

We will ask you to verbalize your expectations.

- a diagnosis will be evoked, and the necessary steps to confirm it will be put in place.

- A therapeutic project will be proposed.

In addition to this, you need to know more about it.

-A first physiotherapy session carried out by our team will complete the muscle assessment and determine the muscular work to be considered with a physiotherapist closest to your home.

-A psychological interview will be offered. It can be conducted by a psychologist from the center.

The objective is to assess the repercussions of the pain, the psychological resources specific to each person to face this chronic pain and to inform you as well as possible about all the tools offered (hypnosis, sophrology, EMDR, mindfulness meditation, etc.) .

WHAT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT ?

Chronic pelvic and perineal pain occurs in multiple circumstances: postpartum, postoperative, traumatic, infectious, endometriosis. They can also result from osteoarticular lesions (coccygogynia), unrecognized nerve compressions which may involve the pelvi-perineal nerves (pudendal neuralgia, clune neuralgia, gluteal sciatica), or the abdominal nerves. Sometimes the origin goes back to the lumbar spinal roots.
Whatever their origin, the evolution of these pains often exceeds the organ through which they are expressed. The mechanisms of chronicization are better known today and allow us to consider different therapeutic strategies.
The Center for Chronic Pelvic and Perineal Pain, created and managed by a multidisciplinary team, offers transversal support in the treatment of functional disorders and chronic pain in the pelvic region and perineum.

The medical coordination is ensured by Doctor Mansour KHALFALLAH, Neurosurgeon - Pain doctor, specialist in spine, coccyx and perineal nerves surgery.
The approach is immediately multidisciplinary, centered around the uniqueness of each patient.
The Center has a team made up of practitioners from different specialties allowing a comprehensive approach to the patient: surgeon, pain doctor, osteopath, physiotherapists, psychologists, hypnotherapists.
The Center benefits from innovative therapies and does a large part in the therapeutic education of patients.
